And how can the public find them?
Call us silly -- but it's always been our belief that if you are a public servant, or in the specific case of staff and teachers at publicly funded charter schools, that you are required to in fact -- be accessible to the public. So how is it that the Gulen-inspired schools have conveniently removed all of the staff lists from their respective school websites?
And what about the parents and Joe Public who just happens to want to find out who is teaching and running the schools that their kids are attending and their tax dollars are funding?
A little birdy (chirp -- chirp) told us that the boys were getting way too nervous about this website and similar websites that are exposing the boys' shenanigans, and as a consequence removed all of the staff information from the websites.
Now what is even stranger than that act of paranoia is the fact that despite their constant claims of non-association with each other, the schools all acted in concert to remove the staff lists -- in all of their schools throughout the United States. It's amazing -- along with all of their other talents -- it seems that they are also telepathic...
We had a teacher send us an email yesterday telling us that during a very recent Concept School meeting, that the Vice-President of Concept Schools brought this website up in the meeting, denouncing it as a work of fiction (more or less).
A special thanks to Salim Ucan, (he's the VP), we appreciate your support and free advertising, because each and every time you bring our website to the teachers' attention, they read it -- again -- and -- again -- our website hits go up!
Anyway, back to the hide and seek game that the boys are playing with the staff lists. One of our partner sites has published some information on the schools' "missing information," and we are including it in this post.
But to further update the list, all of the Cleveland area Concept Schools are also missing the information, that would be Horizon Science Academy Denison Middle School, Horizon Cleveland High School, Horizon Denison Elementary School, Horizon Lorain, etc.
So listen up boys, we are going to contact the state officials (again) and let them know how you are "hiding" the staff lists and how the public cannot check to see if the staff and teachers are legally allowed to teach (just in case some of them are sex offenders or other type of criminals), and other "superfluous" matters like if the teachers and administrators actually have licenses and credentials to teach and "administer."

Missing Information on School Websites
Given the Gulen Movement's penchant for secrecy, it is not surprising that most of the Gulen charter school websites are missing important information that is customarily shown on normal school websites, even for private schools. In some cases, the omissions are in violation of state education law. Not providing the full legal names of all teachers and administrative staff is a safety issue for parents, as it makes it difficult to track child predators, for example. While in principle all school employees should have been fingerprinted and checked against criminal records by state authorities, in practice many lapses have been documented, and parents should have the opportunity to cross-check names for themselves. Many Gulen charter schools either do not make the lists of teacher/staff names accessible to the general public, or list only part of the names (e.g., "Mr. Mustafa"), or show alias names. We do not know of any other public or public charter schools in the United States that have such a practice.
In many states, schools are required by law to display the names of board members, board meeting dates, agendas, and minutes on their websites. Even when this is not legally required, it clearly is important for parents, teachers, and members of the public to be able to access such information.
The following is a partial list of some omissions of important information from the websites of Gulen charter schools; we plan to make the list more comprehensive in the future. The list is based on the status of the websites as of September 23, 2010.
