Note:
This was 10 years ago -- and it's business as usual for the Gulenists.
Again...
Apparently one of the guys forgot to remove some information from the copier (they tend to be a little absent-minded when it comes to taking care of their important stuff), and someone was gracious enough to send it along to our website.
It seems that they boys held an all expenses paid "International Teacher Training Seminar," for of course -- the Turkish teachers. Now once again -- and of course it is repetitive -- this little training seminar was paid for with American tax dollars, so one would assume -- that the American teachers should have had an equal opportunity to attend a training seminar. But that did not happen.
The guys did not spare any expense either -- setting their "friends" up in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which must have cost a pretty penny.
As you look over the agenda, note how there are only Turkish guys teaching the classes, including -- American Culture -- which of course, they are experts at.
The guys love to tell everyone that the reason they are bringing over so many Turkish guys and gals over to the United States to teach is because they are so much smarter than the Americans when it comes to teaching Math and Science. So if that is true, why do they need an all-expense paid week of training (with our money) to learn how to teach Math and Science? And if the American teachers are so incompetent (as the Turks profess), why aren't the guys offering the American teachers the same training opportunities?
And note that the email sent out by Sedar Keskin to the "friends, " is once again in Turkish, which further substantiates that the Americans were not invited to the shindig (look it up guys).
Below is the translation of the email to the participants and the agenda follows:
Dear Teachers,
First of all, best of luck in the 2010 year Math teachers’ meeting.
Besides I will send you the details, I will urgently let you know that. The meeting (to anyone who has never been in this meeting) will start on the 21st. People who come from outside of Houston can register at the hotel on the evening of the 20th. I will give the list to the hotel. If you think that you can be here at 8:30 on the morning of the 21st, please let me know. Other friends will register at the hotel on the evening of the 22nd. Likewise, if you are sure that you can be here at 8:30 on 22nd morning, please let me know.
I will send the list later for the meeting. I want you to bring the following list:
1- Laptop
2- Teacher’s book
3- Materials which can be helpful
4- Notes from the last year
5- Student note books
6- Materials prepared by yourself
Greetings
