Well, as much as I hate to say, "I told you so," (actually I am very fond of that expression), they did exactly what I predicted that they would do.

The guys at Horizon Science Academy Columbus filled that blank  Dean of Academics spot "Mr. ...."  with another Turkish guy, by the name of Mr. Kapki.  At least they only had to fill in his last name. They did change the title, giving him the title of "Assistant of Director." No offense guys, but you really need to work on your English skills. Maybe it should be Assistant Director, Assistant to the Director, or the truth... Green Card Applicant.

If in fact Mr. Kapki is applying for residency (aka Green Card), they (the school) would have had to advertise this position, which they did. So let's review this once again. Horizon Science Academy Columbus advertises for a Dean of Academics, or as they refer to it as "Assistant of Director," and out of all the hundreds of unemployed "social science" teachers (including the ones designated as Highly Qualified -- which he is not), Mr. Kapki, with his soon to be expired "5-year substitute" license, just happens to fit the bill.

Gosh, what happened to all of the non-Turkish teachers and experienced administrators in Ohio and the United States? Maybe they all went to Turkey to open charter schools.

Now let's -- once again -- review the checklist:

Turkish -- check; male -- check; under 40 -- check, only has a 5-year substitute teaching license in social studies -- check.

Does anyone else feel like these guys are getting way with all kinds of Equal Employment Opportunity infractions...and are laughing all the way to the bank and the Immigration and Naturalization Services?

At least they are consistent -- you have to give them that.
