Poor boy
Our boy Gulen is getting a little fired up over all of the recent not-so-nice publicity that has been surrounding him and his merry band of Gulenites.
According to his newspaper, Today Zaman, Gulen is whining about the “Ruthless campaign smears” against him and his cult members.
Gulen told his supporters that he could retaliate against the “smearers” by “ Suing them for damages, stating , “These are our legal rights. But we will never act in a violent manner as they do. We will not show them our fists as they do to us. Even if they threaten to slap us, we will not respond to them with slaps( Herkul.org)
And what “violence” is Gulen referring to? He really needs to be more specific when he makes unsubstantiated claims of “violence,” allegedly targeted against his movement.
Sure, we know all about how “peaceful” and righteous Gulen is whenever someone calls him out and tells the truth about his true agenda. Gulen is the king of lawsuits – which is somewhat amusing considering he states, “we will not slap them,” except of course – with a lawsuit.
According to Today’s Zaman, Gulen states“ His movement will never resort to unlawful or violent methods when responding to the bad deeds of those people. The ones who show you their fists are not people of mind, soul or heart. They put humanitarian values under pressure and try to suppress those values. As a necessity of their character, such people may resort to hatred, aggression or using their fists. But you [followers of the Gülen movement] will display your own character, and you will never do the same [acts of violence] to them. … Since we are doing everything in a human-centric manner, then we have to become ‘handless’ to whom hits us and ‘tongueless’ to whom swears at us as Yunus [Emre, a great mystical Turkish poet] said.”
Now that’s a great quote Gulen, and we sure appreciate the sentiment, but did you somehow forget how your guys are stealing millions of American dollars through the various schemes that they are running via our charter schools (or to be more specific – your charter schools)? We would very much like it if you and your guys would practice your “handless” philosophy, especially when it comes to taking our money and teaching jobs. In other words – keep your hands off both.
Frankly, we are growing weary of Gulen’s weepy – feel sorry for me – propaganda machine.
If it’s so tough living here in the United States – and you cannot take the criticism (which is long overdue and well deserved) then buy an airline ticket and go home -- and take your merry band of thieves with you. Maybe Turkish Airlines can give you guys a group discount.
