What a Novel Thought!
Gee -- Maybe We Can Get an American on the School Board
I have always been baffled over why the parents of the children attending the Gulen-affiliated charter schools never bother to check the people on their respectve school boards or attend the board meetings. If they did, they would find that at least 99% of the school board members are Turkish, members of the Gulen movement, and/or relatives. Rarely, you will ever see an American on the board, and if so, it is usually because the state law mandates that a parent be on the board.
This is an old blog, but one that is still very current because the practices have not changed. If parents would actually attend the school board meetings and start questioning the Gulenists about what is going on in their US tax-funded schools, changes might actually occur. Parents need to insist that qualified US educators and administrators should be given priority over H1-B visa holders, especially since there is no shortage of American educators to fill those positions. Nor are there shortages of US citizens that can fill the school board spots.
Above is an email from a former Gulenist board member and it speaks for itself to the duplicity and calculative behavior that the Gulenists continue to this present day. Bayaktar may be long gone from the board, but the practices have not changed.
Below are my thoughts on the email:
Okay, realizing that this may just be a silly thought, this guy, Bayaktar (you know, the one who has been on many Boards associated with Hizmet ), is suggesting that perhaps -- just maybe -- they (the brothers) can find a "trustworthy" American to put on the school board.
Oh! Yeah! That's right, he found his American wife, Jennifer, to be trustworthy enough to be the HSA Denison Middle School Board President. And keep in mind, that's an important job, because she was able to sign off on the phony immigration papers that Sagnak and Akkaya passed off for their Green Card applications.
The guys want to make sure that they do not find themselves in the same distasteful situation that Brother Tuncay did (he must have found an American that would not go along with the program and instead -- spoke up against the brotherhood). Feel free to share your story with us, Brother Tuncay.

Another proposal. Since Metin is leaving the board, there is Mr. Nurullah who is new in Cleveland and can take Metin's place. What about taking him to the board? Of course, let's talk to him first before finding ourselves in the business like Brother Tuncay did. Let's advise. I hope we can find any American (for example at least one American) who is trustworthy and who can be on the board.
