Because we know how "legal" that is...
We always find it ironic when the boys mention the "legality" of anything that they do, especially because they seem to invent their own actions/ laws that they then deem legal, and merrily circumvent the laws because they can and do get away with it -- over and over.
In this particular instance, the boys, Sagnak, Celep, and Balsoy are discussing the fact that they screwed up on Celep's contract/salary and accordingly, it did not reflect the "true" amount of his salary in either the contract or payroll accounting.
So now the boys are scurrying around trying to figure out how to "fix" the mistake in both the accounting ledger and the Board Minutes. Our boy Balsoy has come up with an ingenious idea about how to remove lines in the minutes, and states that it will be okay because he did not give a copy of the Board Minutes to "Lucas." (Just so we are clear here -- Lucas County is the "governing" or sponsoring school district over Horizon Science Academy Denision Middle School, of which Sagnak was the Director and Celep the school accountant).
And of course the boys agree on changing the Board Minutes to reflect their cut and paste talents.
So here it is once again. The boys are breaking the rules -- or should we say the law, because we are pretty sure that it is illegal to change Board Minutes on a whim (or in this case -- a mistake).
We have to wonder how many other Board Minutes have been conveniently changed through their "artistic" talents.
