Whose choice Ali?
Watch this video of the Chicago Math and Science Academy's meeting with the Director, Ali and his answer to the concerned parent. His response is priceless -- we mean-- worthless. He tells the parent that CMSA, "Is a school of choice," so what does that mean Ali?
If CMSA is -- as Ali so fondly likes to term it, "A school of choice," then it should be the teacher's "choice" to unionize the school. Further, it should be the parents' "choice" to kick Ali out as the Director. Because, like the other phrase that the guys are so fond of tossing out, "We can terminate your employment at-will," that should apply to them as well.
So here's our vote, the next time the parents and teachers get together, vote to terminate Ali's employment and get a Director who actually has the guts to answer the important questions that involve the education of their children, and will respond to the concerns of the parents and teachers.
